Master Tersak is the Head Instructor at Pak’s Karate Academy. He is a 5th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do with over 20 years of training and 10 years of teaching experiences. He has trained all over the United States and holds ranking in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Modern Arnis, and Taekwondo. While attending graduate school, Master Tersak purchased the school from his instructor upon retirement in 2015 so that Pak’s Karate Academy would continue to serve the families of the Mandarin and Northern St John’s County communities. He strives to instill the Black Belt Mindset in his students and looks to develop people to confidently be the best that they can be. He will be achieving his Doctorate degree in Pharmacy in 2017.
Master Nicholas is 20 years old and one of Pak’s Karate’s most avid and well rounded instructors. He recently received his 4th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo and manages most of what goes on in classes. He manages the beginner program, demo program, Master Candidates, and Filipino martial arts at the school. He also lead the initiative to partner with Great Strides, a special needs development school, to employ his abilities to provide a physical education component and curriculum to help them succeed. Master Nicholas is the instructor who teaches some of the advanced classes and specialty classes. Additionally Master Nicholas has ranking in both Modern Arnis and Taekwondo.
Master Kevin Haenszel is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo and was the first Tiger students to both attain his black belt and Master Belt. He is the senior instructor who manages our BBC (intermediate) classes and the black belt preparation course for 3rd Degree Black Belts. He has been training for over 20 years and has over 10 years of teaching experience of all ages. He is heavily involved in the development of our future leaders, our black belt program, and teen program. Currently he also attends physical therapy school.
Master Robert Haenszel began his training in the mid 1990’s and is currently the senior belt at Pak’s Karate Academy of Mandarin. He is a 5th Degree Black belt in Tang Soo with over 20 years of training and over 10 years of teaching experience. He utilizes most of his time teaching to assist with the After School Program in Northern St. John’s County.
Mrs. Angelina began her martial arts training in 2009 and is currently a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo. She is currently training for her 3rd Degree test in November of 2017. She runs the front desk and manages the school, many people like her addictive personality. She is able to teach students of all ages and manages both the Adult special needs program and the Black Belt Preparation Course.
Missy Miles is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo and has been training in the Martial Arts since 2005. She has been a fitness trainer and consultant for the YMCA for many years. She currently runs the After School program in Northern St. Johns County and helps teach our beginner classes. She has 3 children, all of whom are 3rd Degree Black Belts and are actively involved in the leadership development program at the school.
Miss Selby is 18 years old and a graduate of Mandarin High School. She is currently a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo and will be the first person in her family to take in master test in 2018. She was recently accepted into the University of Florida Innovation College. Miss Selby is involved with teaching in the After School Program, Tiger Classes, beginner classes, advanced classes, and runs the black belt preparation course for 2nd Degree Black belts.
